Battery Maintenance, Avoiding Breakdown on the Road
The car battery is responsible for supplying power to the vehicle’s start-up, lights, audio and other electrical equipment. If not properly maintained, it is prone to problems such as power loss and damage, leading to the vehicle breaking down on the road. First, regularly check the battery terminals to ensure they are firmly connected without looseness or oxidation. If there is oxidation, you can apply a small amount of vaseline to prevent rust.
During daily driving, avoid turning on lights, audio and other electrical equipment after the car has been parked for a long time, otherwise it will cause the battery to lose power. If the vehicle is not used for a long time (more than 15 days), it is recommended to start the vehicle every week and run it for 10-15 minutes to charge the battery, or connect a charger to supplement the power.
The service life of the battery is generally 3-5 years. If you find that the vehicle is difficult to start, the lights are dim, the horn sound is small, etc., the battery may be aging and needs to be tested and replaced in time. In addition, avoid parking the vehicle in high temperature and low temperature environments for a long time to reduce battery loss.
